M.S. Ed, BCBA, LBA, Northeastern ABA Clinical Director
Tara Karen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook, a Master’s degree in Childhood education from Dowling College and completed her BCBA coursework at SUNY Stony Brook. Tara is a New York State certified teacher in Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6. Before working at Achieve Beyond, Tara worked as a teacher and reading aide in elementary schools, a SEIT teacher for physically and developmentally disabled teenagers, a tutor, and most recently she was a teacher and ABA instructor at a non-profit school for individuals with autism. Since coming to Achieve Beyond, Tara has worked to conduct assessments, create programming, train behavior therapists, evaluate school and home-programs, and supervise BCBA candidates and behavior therapists. She enjoys employing a hands-on method of teaching and using the natural environment to enhance social skills and generalization.
Sonu Sanghoee
MS,CCC-SLP, Related Services Clinical Director
Sonu Sanghoee is a ASHA certified and NYS licensed Speech Pathologist with extensive experience in field of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Sonu has been with Achieve Beyond for over 13 years and since coming to Achieve Beyond she has trained many Early Intervention Providers and conducted many specialized workshops. Sonu has presented to various professionals, teachers, parents, and county professionals. She is very passionate about the field of pediatric services and strives to provide the best support to help interventionists reach their full potential.
Shain Davis
OTD, OTR/L, California Clinical Director
Doctor Shain Davis has worked in pediatrics since 2007. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention studies at the University of Southern California (USC), he began working as a pediatric developmental specialist, serving at risk and/or disabled infants in their homes. Shain returned to USC in 2010 and received his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Occupational Science. While at USC, Shain received specialized pediatric training including immersive clinic and school based internships. Shain was also selected to be a part of the Emerging Leaders Development Program, a program run by the American Occupational Therapy Association, to promote growth, leadership and innovation within the field of occupational therapy. Since coming to Achieve Beyond in 2013, Shain has practiced as an occupational therapist and also oversees the related service aspects of the California clinic. As the head of a great team of occupational, and speech therapists, Shain promotes effective and meaningful service delivery and ensures that all Achieve Beyond family needs are met. A blend of evidence-based practice and clinical experience is what drive’s the clinic’s client-centered approach.
Gina M. Ballone
MS, BCBA, LBA, ABA Clinical Director
Gina Ballone has been working in the field of ABA since 1998. She first gained experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder during her undergraduate studies at Florida State University. Upon completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she decided to pursue her Master’s degree in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, having the privilege of learning under Dr. Jon Bailey and Dr. Al Murphy. During her graduate studies she co-founded an organization that provided ABA services to children, which is currently a practicum and assistantship opportunity for graduate students at FSU. After completion of her graduate degree in 2002, Gina was offered a position at Behavior Analysis Inc, a leading ABA company in South Florida. During her work there, she supervised a team of behavior therapists, as well as developed verbal behavior programs, precision teaching, and behavior reduction programs. She conducted parent trainings/workshops and presented at state conferences. The company appointed her to be the Behavior Analyst to consult at the Miami Children’s Hospital, Dan Marino Center. She oversaw all ABA programs as well as conducted consultations to non-behavioral staff. In doing this, she had the opportunity to consult with Speech, Occupational and Physical therapists as well as provide training at the Dan Marino Summer Camps. Gina has attended numerous workshops in Verbal Behavior, as well as advanced consultation workshops at the Carbone Clinic. She has presented at FABA (Florida Association for Behavior Analysis) as well as other conferences throughout the years. She was the Clinical Director of an ABA therapy clinic in Destin, Florida for 8 ½ years, where she also served as the practicum supervisor for the graduate students in the FSU-PC Master’s ABA program. Gina became the Clinical Director of ABA Services at Achieve Beyond in the Virginia/DC Metro in 2012. She is passionate about using Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior to teach language and communication skills to individuals.
Erin Geiselmann
MA, LBA, BCBA, Assistant ABA Clinical Director
Erin has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2013. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Stony Brook University, Erin began working as a teaching assistant at a private school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and started her Master’s Degree in ABA at Queens College. Since 2015, Erin has worked with children and adolescents on the Spectrum ages 3-21 that were receiving ABA services through insurance. Erin has worked directly with kids, by providing ABA therapy, and indirectly, by supervising ABA therapists and working with families. In January 2018, Erin was hired at Achieve Beyond as a Clinical Supervisor. When working directly or indirectly with kids, Erin prefers to take a team approach to ABA services. The child with ASD, the therapist, and family members all need to work together to support the child and set him or her up for success. In October 2018, Erin was promoted to Assistant Clinical Director. As Assistant Clinical Director, Erin ensures the clinical excellence and compliance for the ABA programs in the Affiliates (NY, NJ, CA, CT and future states). She conducts audits of assessments and documentation for ABA cases, provides guidance to salaried and fee-for-service BCBAs, BTs, the Clinical Assistant, and maintains quality control for the program. Erin also supervises candidates for BCBA/LBA credential and assists in creation and presentation of workshops and trainings. Erin works closely with the Clinical/Operational Director to ensure that the ABA programs maintain their integrity, highest ethical standards, and continued success of all the ABA programs.
Maritza Reyes-Trevino
M.A., BCBA, ABA Clinical Director
Maritza Reyes-Trevino is a Board Certified Behavior Analysist who has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton and a Master’s Degree in Arts and Teaching: Emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University. Maritza began her career in the field working as a 1:1 Community Integration Specialist, 1:1 Classroom Behavioral Support Aide, and In Home Direct Interventionist in which she implemented behavior intervention plans and provided support for parents and teachers. Throughout the years Maritza has developed individualized client programs targeting socially significant behaviors in home as well as in the community, parent and staff trainings. Through a supervisory role Maritza collaborated with both Regional Centers and insurance companies on client progress and programming. Since joining Achieve Beyond in 2017, Maritza has been responsible for conducting assessments and re-assessments as well as developing social skills programming for clients in home and in a clinic setting where she oversees a growing clinical team. Maritza has developed a special interest in provider and parent trainings where she finds great pride in continuing to support individuals and families alike.
